As one of the largest performance door-set manufacturers and architectural hardware suppliers in the UK, we provide bespoke door suites made onsite in our factory located in Deeside, North Wales.
Due to ongoing success and growth, we're looking for a Warehouse Cycle Counter, to perform regular inventory counts, ensure accurate stock levels and reconcile any discrepancies in a safe and efficient manner.
As Warehouse Cycle Counter, your role will involve covering various housekeeping duties as well as maintaining a clean and organised warehouse/ stores environment. Additionally, you will assist with ad-hoc picking duties, efficiently retrieving items as needed to support warehouse operations.
The role will also work closely with the Warehouse Manager in highlighting potential issues and, where possible, implementing resolutions.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and flexibility are key attributes for success in this position.
Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled cycle counts to ensure stock levels are accurate and up to date.
* Count inventory items systematically and verify quantities against records.
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or stock mismatches.
* Report findings and escalate issues as necessary.
* Update and maintain inventory management systems with accurate count data.
* Ensure that all count results are recorded and documented.
* Ensure stock is properly rotated (FIFO or LIFO) and stored to prevent damage or loss.
* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout to facilitate easy counting and access to stock.
* Communicate with the warehouse and operations team regarding inventory status and needs.
* Assist in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
* Assist in identifying low stock levels and inform appropriate team members for replenishment.
* Help ensure stock levels are adequate for day-to-day operations.
* Operation of FLT when and where required.
Qualifications/Experience
* Clear understanding and experience of stock and inventory management.
* Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service.
* A proactive, flexible and "can do" attitude to resolve issues and challenges.
* PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required.
* Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative
* Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided
* Attention to detail required to assume quality checking/quality control
* Compliance with manual handling procedures
* Current FLT License

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 4.15pm
Friday 7am to 1.30pm
39 hours per week
