Contract: Permanent, Full-time (potential for part-time; minimum 3 days per week)
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)
The Company:
Outsourced Events is a leading event and marketing agency, delivering bespoke, end-to-end solutions for global clients across the technology and professional services sectors. Based in London and working worldwide, we plan and execute outstanding events with precision, creativity and care.
We’re a collaborative and adaptable team working in a dynamic environment and motivated by the drive to deliver meaningful experiences and measurable impact.
The Opportunity:
As Accounts Assistant (Receivables), you will play a vital role in overseeing the accounts receivable process and ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, cash allocation and credit control. Working as part of a small, high-performing finance team, you will help maintain financial accuracy and support our continued growth.
This position is remote-first, with the option to work from our Hammersmith office up to three days a week if preferred. We’re open to full-time or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week).
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Raising sales invoices and credit notes in line with client and Event Manager requirements.
* Maintaining invoice schedules and supporting revenue recognition with the Finance Manager and Project Accountant.
* Posting daily bank receipts and assisting with regular payment processing.
* Performing weekly credit control, including follow-ups, reconciliations and event registration payments.
* Overseeing client funds, including daily transfers and related reporting.
* Collaborating with Accounts Payable to support weekly payment runs.
* Responding to internal and external finance queries professionally and promptly.
* Contributing to finance reporting and performing ad-hoc duties as required.
The Person:
We are looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant with a strong foundation in accounts receivable and a keen eye for accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in invoicing, revenue scheduling and credit control, ideally within a project-based or events-driven business environment.
* You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with the communication skills to liaise effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
* A problem-solving mindset, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting are essential.
* You should be a confident user of Excel and finance systems. Experience in Sage Intacct would be an advantage.
* You’ll be actively working towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) and demonstrate a strong commitment to continued learning and ongoing professional development.
* Above all, we’re looking for someone who combines technical skills with a positive, hands-on attitude and a commitment to excellence in everything they do.
Why join us?
In return we are offering a competitive salary of £32,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if working part time), plus 25 days holiday plus bank holiday, pension scheme etc.
At Outsourced Events, you’ll be part of a growing, small but mighty team (43 and counting!) where collaboration, development, and wellbeing are genuinely valued. We offer:
* A supportive and social team culture, with regular get-togethers, a summer BBQ, monthly all-team meet-ups, and an annual two-day company retreat.
* Complimentary access to our on-site gym to help you stay active and healthy.
* A strong commitment to your development, led by our dedicated Head of Learning & Development.
* A competitive pension and bonus scheme. 25 days’ annual leave, including a Christmas office shutdown, plus your birthday off to celebrate in style.
* Enhanced maternity and paternity packages to support you through life’s key moments.
If this role speaks to your experience and ambition, we’d love to hear from you. Early applications are encouraged – we may close the process ahead of schedule if we receive a high volume of interest.
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace that values equity, diversity and the unique contributions of every team member.
