The Role
As Assistant Group Head of IT, you will:
Support the development and delivery of IT strategies that align with business goals.
Oversee IT infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Drive improvements in key business applications, including ERP and business intelligence tools.
Manage IT projects end-to-end, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Take ownership of vendor relationships and IT service procurement.
Utilise data analytics to inform decision-making and support business intelligence.
Manage IT budgets of £3M+.
Ensure IT systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient.
About You
Were looking for a dynamic and adaptable individual with:
A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT management, ideally within FMCG, fresh produce, or other fast-paced industries.
Strong technical expertise across infrastructure, security, and compliance.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, and Citrix/Terminal Server.
Experience with ERP systems (Prophet advantageous) and data analytics tools.
A track record of managing post-merger IT integrations.
Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
Commercial acumen and a forward-thinking approach to IT challenges.
