 
        
        The role of a PSV Mechanic will involve:
 * Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
 * Continuous improvement of vehicle standards.
 * MOT preparation, planned preventive maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
 * Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA).
 * Attending roadside breakdowns.
 * Shift Work (Earlies /Lates/Weekends 5 out of 7).
 * On a Standby Rota for Breakdowns 1 in 6 (Company Vehicle provided)
 Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ).
 * Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines.
 * Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary.
 * A PCV license is desirable but not necessary.
 * Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable.
