Consultant Radiologist The closing date is 12 July 2026.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist with a sub‑specialty interest in Head and Neck Imaging. The role will involve 10 working hours per week, with an additional on‑call commitment. It is based primarily at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, with potential rotation to St. Margarets (Epping) and Herts & Essex (Bishops Stortford).
Key duties include supporting the imaging service, expanding the Head and Neck service, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, teaching Radiology registrars, and contributing to service development.
Main duties of the job You will support the Radiology service at PAHT and pursue opportunities to expand the Head and Neck service. If successful, you will take part in multi‑disciplinary meetings and participate in teaching Radiology registrars.
Qualifications
GMC registration with a licence to practise.
CCT (or equivalent) in relevant speciality or within 6 months of achieving.
Subspecialty training aligned with service needs.
Higher degree (e.g., MD, PhD) or additional postgraduate qualifications.
Formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert in Medical Education).
Experience
Broad and relevant clinical experience in the specialty.
Experience in teaching and supervising resident doctors and medical students.
Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement.
Experience in service development or redesign.
Experience in curriculum development or educational leadership.
Publications in peer‑reviewed journals; involvement in clinical research or trials.
Previous experience working in the NHS or similar healthcare system.
