Job Overview
Based at Cranwell Medical Centre (with potential cover at RAF Waddington & RAF Coningsby), this full‑time position (37 hours per week) is a fixed‑term appointment in the Ministry of Defence Medical Services. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Team providing acute and scheduled primary care to military, civilian and dependent family patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
* Offer occupational medical examinations and advice, including emergency treatment within the establishment.
* Supervise disease control activities and participate in unit health committees as required.
* Attend multidisciplinary meetings and governance activities to promote continuous quality improvement.
* Represent the Senior Medical Officer on medical practice matters where appropriate.
* Manages primary care activities within a team‑based Total Triage system.
Qualifications and Memberships
* Registered with the United Kingdom General Medical Council (GMC) and the GP Register.
* Valid license to practice in the UK.
Experience
* Proficiency in medical IT systems used within Defence Medical Services.
* Experience in occupational health, particularly military occupational health.
* Knowledge of Armed Forces medicine, including aviation and diving medicine.

Salary
£91,535 to £108,743 per year (pro‑rata for part‑time; award pending).
