Location: United Kingdom (Remote with International Travel)

About the role

The Director of Training is a senior global leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s training, development and leadership programs for a multi-hundred-million-dollar global security operations program. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that enable managers, leaders, and frontline teams to perform effectively, consistently and be future-ready. The Director ensures training initiatives are scalable, practical, and aligned with operational goals, providing clear guidance, frameworks, and tools that translate organizational objectives into actionable skills and behaviors. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who can evaluate current structures, optimize processes, and implement training strategies that drive measurable performance improvements across the global organization.


What you’ll do

You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the global training function to ensure managers and operational teams have the skills, tools, and guidance they need to perform effectively.


Key responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement a global learning strategy that aligns with organizational goals, digital transformation initiatives, and talent development priorities.
* Championing a learning culture that promotes agility, inclusivity, and lifelong development.
* Manage the creation and deployment of scalable, high-impact learning programs across technical, leadership, compliance, and soft skills domains.
* Ensure programs are localized and culturally relevant for diverse global audiences while maintaining consistency in quality and standards.
* You will build, manage and coach a high-performing training team across the globe, setting clear performance standards.
* Streamline workflows and implement systems to monitor and improve program effectiveness.
* Drive continuous improvement; identify opportunities to enhance processes and training methods; and ensure programs translate organizational objectives into practical, actionable skills that improve operational performance across the organization.
* Establish global frameworks for training governance, including standards, policies, and reporting mechanisms.
* Ensure compliance with regional regulations, industry certifications, and internal audit requirements.
* Define KPIs and success metrics for all training initiatives, focusing on ROI and business impact.
* Utilize advanced analytics to monitor learner engagement, program effectiveness, and continuous improvement opportunities.

What you need to apply


Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).


Experience:

* 10–15 years leading training and development programs, with at least 5 years at a director level.
* Experience of working within a large, global complex organization.
* Background in datacenters is preferred.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide training programs in a multinational environment.
* Experience of leading distributed teams and collaborating across global operations

* Expertise in digital learning platforms, emerging technologies, and blended learning methodologies.
* Strong cross-cultural communication and change management skills.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

* Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time for leadership meetings, program launches, and regional alignment.
* Commutable distance to London and surrounding M25 locations.
