We are looking for an experienced corporate AV Installation Engineer based in Maidenhead. The engineer will be responsible for planning, testing, installing, and servicing Audio‑Visual equipment for various job sites and clients. They will ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales, interpret project plans, recommend modifications, and act as a liaison between other engineers and clients. The role includes post‑implementation fault finding, testing, and repair of audio‑visual equipment.
Accountabilities
* Onsite work 90% – Practical work includes:
o Rack builds, Audio Visual, and Video Conference installation and configuration
o Communicating with customers and site contacts
o Adherence to site rules, procedures, and H&S
o Communicating job progress to the Project Manager and Resource Planner
o Site cleanliness
o Completion of all project documentation and sign‑offs
o Configuring, performing diagnostics, and firmware updates of videoconferencing codecs and AV hardware
o Fault finding and testing Audio‑visual equipment
* In‑office work 10% – Supports onsite work by:
o Preparing tools, equipment, consumables, and documentation for installation
o Ensuring sufficient stock levels of consumables and materials in the workshop
o Conducting van and cable monthly checks
o Submitting timesheets and expenses
o Pursuing personal development and applicable training
o Maintaining awareness and updating of management software and quality policy (where applicable)
o Researching and developing products for client requirements
