Contracts Manager – Planned Maintenance
Location: Cambridge (with flexible home working)
Salary: £52,238 per annum plus car allowance £2,500 per annum
Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week

You will manage the provision of the Planned Maintenance service to housing assets, ensuring best practices in housing asset management and maintaining housing decency.
The role's overall purpose is to lead all planned maintenance investment works, including:
* Delivering planned maintenance investment works and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) projects to create sustainable, energy-efficient social housing
* Managing contracts and contractor relationships
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
* Managing budgets to ensure value for money
* Developing a positive employee culture
* Ensuring residents receive safe, well-planned services with effective communication
Reporting to the Head of Property & Sustainability, you will oversee contractors and consultants in contributing to the maintenance programmes, working closely with colleagues to coordinate housing priorities and projects, and additionally:
* Develop new methods for service delivery and asset management
* Ensure properties meet the Decent Homes Standard
* Support sustainability and net-zero strategies
The ideal candidate will have:
* A property degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., RICS/CIOB)
* Technical knowledge of property surveying and construction
* Experience in contract management within maintenance and construction
* Health and Safety knowledge, including CDM Regulations
* Experience supervising contractors in occupied properties
* Procurement and contract management skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Strong written, numerical, and verbal skills with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Exceptional customer care and interpersonal skills
