As a Machine Operator in the Unit Dose or Blending Department, you will be responsible for setting up, cleaning, and operating machines to meet production targets, ensuring compliance with Safety, SOP, GMP, and FDA regulations. You may have basic operational knowledge of specific equipment and auxiliary tools, and will ensure the operational efficiency of your area.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate machines (e.g., Tablet, Capsule, Coating Pans, PK Blenders, Ribbon Blenders, Weighing).
* Support other machine centers as needed, including relief, cleaning, and basic operations.
* Assist in training new employees on machine operation.
* Handle auxiliary equipment such as Inspection Belts, Hobart Mixer, Sweco, Comil, Fitzmill.
* Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving during production.
* Conduct rudimentary preventative maintenance, including lubrication.
* Prepare containers for storage or shipment.
* Monitor and adjust machines as necessary.
* Disassemble, clean, and set up machines and rooms.
* Maintain and inspect equipment and tools, ensuring proper storage.
* Keep batch records, equipment logs, and other documentation current.
* Monitor product quality (weight, thickness, hardness, friability, visual or organoleptic defects).
* Report issues with processes or equipment to supervisors.
* Follow SOPs, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
* Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED.
* At least six (6) years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Relevant experience, education, or training that equips you with the necessary skills.
Work Environment
* Exposure to allergens such as soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, milk, eggs, nuts, and sesame.
* Lifting requirements: 30-50 lbs., with possible handling of heavier containers.

This position is on-site. Salary range: $17.00–$19.00/hour, based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement. Final salary depends on various factors.
