Job Description:
Training and Exercise Development and Delivery Officer - Civil Contingency Unit
Would you like to support an innovative civil contingencies organisation delivering strategic resilience exercises to public sector responders?
The Staffordshire Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU), based at Stafford Fire Station, supports organisations across Staffordshire in preparing for and responding to emergencies as defined under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. We deliver training and exercise functions focused on enhancing skills and knowledge within emergency response settings.
This is a unique opportunity for senior managers/executives from public sector agencies such as Police, Ambulance, Local Authority, Environment Agency, and NHS to support our strategic exercise programme. We are interested in recruiting from these sectors to form an exercise team.
The successful applicant must demonstrate experience representing their sector at a strategic level during emergencies and exercises, participation in multi-agency responses, and familiarity with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
The candidate will also provide sector-specific input to scenarios and adapt responses within exercises, expected to be up to 6 days per year.
