Job Description:
Are you a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality projects and leading motivated teams? BakerHicks is looking for an experienced Principal Civil & Structural Engineer to join our growing team and help shape the future of engineering in sectors such as buildings, infrastructure, and more.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead and manage Civil & Structural Engineering design on medium and large-scale projects
* Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and compliant solutions
* Ensure successful project outcomes in terms of time, cost, quality, and resource management
* Contribute to commercial activities, including tenders, proposals, and fee estimates
* Maintain and champion quality standards and compliance controls
What You Bring:
* Chartered Membership of ICE or IStructE
* Proven experience leading projects and managing commercial elements
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Deep technical knowledge across steel, concrete, foundations, drainage, and more
* Eligibility for UK security clearance
Nice to Have
* Experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety standards
* Full clean UK driving license
