The Role
As a Stores Operative/Van Driver, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our projects running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for managing warehouse stock and ensuring materials reach our site teams safely and on time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Receiving, checking, and securely storing incoming deliveries
* Picking, packing, and dispatching materials accurately and efficiently
* Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock checks
* Loading and unloading flooring materials, tools, and consumables
* Delivering materials to site operatives across the UK
* Collecting surplus materials from completed projects
* Returning, checking, and updating inventories for all goods received
* Supporting safe warehouse organisation and housekeeping
* Collecting goods from suppliers when required
* Completing portable appliance testing (PAT) of electrical equipment
* Compling with all health and safety procedures at all times
About You
We’re looking for someone practical, dependable, and safety-focused who takes pride in their work.
You will ideally have:
* Previous warehouse or delivery experience
* A full, clean UK driving licence (able to drive LWB/transit vans)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Experience or understanding of stock control systems
* The ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
* A methodical and detail-focused approach
Desirable (but not essential):
* PAT testing certification
* Manual handling training
