This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Dietitian looking to establish a career with a company where great food and nutrition is an integral part of the business. Reporting directly to the Senior Dietitian, you will support nutrition standards and ensure we make a real difference to our customers and business through evidence-based nutrition. Based in the New Product Development (NPD) team, you will deliver outstanding nutrition and dietetic support across Healthcare, Care Homes, Education and Wiltshire Farm Foods, impacting the nutritional well-being of customers including hospital inpatients, care home residents, schoolchildren, and customers at home. You will work closely with NPD, Marketing & PR, and the Specialist Nutrition team, and support colleagues in business and support roles. Training and support will be provided. The role offers a blended working style with the Head Office in Trowbridge (office and remote working). This role is within apetito, the UK’s leading food supplier to health and social care sectors, serving more than 1,300 care homes, healthcare and education settings. Our meals are crafted by our dietitians and chefs, then frozen to lock in the goodness. Wiltshire Farm Foods is our sister company and the UK’s largest ready meal supplier.

Responsibilities
* Customer-facing support to business unit teams across Healthcare, Wiltshire Farm Foods, Care Homes, Schools and Community meals, including presentations, responding to customer queries, menu development & planning, and nutrition training.
* Manage dietary and nutrition information in brochures (e.g., Wiltshire Farm Foods special diets guide).
* Support business units at key conferences and trade shows; liaise with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to provide direct support and build relationships.
* Engage with customers and consumers to identify new opportunities.
* Work with colleagues to identify, research, and manage new product development opportunities that maintain or improve nutrition standards; specify nutrition and diet parameters for new and improved products; ensure health and nutrition claims comply with legislation.
* Define special diet specifications with the Specialist Nutrition team.
* Support staff training to raise nutrition and dietary expertise (training for new product launches, inductions, and network programs).
* Keep apetito up-to-date with nutrition trends and proactively drive related policies and reviews; maintain nutrition standards across sectors.
* Contribute externally in nutrition areas of strategic importance and support marketing activities requiring nutrition input (e.g., conferences, PR, newsletters, and marketing strategies).
Qualifications
* Essential: Dietitian with a BSc/MSc equivalent in Dietetics or a post-graduate qualification; registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council; member of the British Dietetic Association; full driving licence; clinical dietetic experience (Band 5), ideally including care of the elderly and experience supporting people with dysphagia.
* Desirable: Experience at a senior level (NHS Band 6 or above); experience with hospital catering departments or as a Food Service Dietitian; food manufacturing, product development or catering experience; knowledge of NHS hospital/care home/education nutrition standards and related guidelines; food hygiene certificate.

* Ability to articulate nutrition perspectives to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at varying levels of expertise.
