Asset Risk & Performance Analyst – Utilities

We’re looking for an experienced Asset Risk & Performance Analyst to join a specialist Asset Health, Risk & Performance team within a major UK utilities organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in developing and refining asset risk and performance insight that supports long-term planning, investment decisions, and operational resilience.
Your work will include:
Analysing complex, multi-source datasets to support asset risk models, maintenance strategies, and system planning
Assessing asset performance and risk across infrastructure networks and asset groups
Building and maintaining robust, auditable risk models to support investment and resilience planning
Modelling failure likelihood and consequences across different scenarios to inform strategic decisions
Supporting the development of asset management plans, monitoring frameworks, and performance reporting
Producing clear, stakeholder-ready outputs including reports, GIS visualisations, risk summaries, and performance insights
Contributing to regulatory submissions and long-term investment planning frameworks
Working closely with engineering, operations, regulation, health & safety, and delivery partners
Engaging with external stakeholders such as infrastructure partners and local authorities where required
Applying asset management best practice aligned with ISO 55000 standardsAbout You
You’ll likely come from an engineering, infrastructure, asset management, or technically focused analytical background, ideally within a regulated or complex operational environment.
You’ll bring:
Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and delivering meaningful analytical insight
A solid understanding of asset risk, performance management, or infrastructure lifecycle planning
Confidence working with spatial data tools such as ArcGIS / ESRI platforms
Exposure to statistical analysis or modelling tools such as R or Python (desirable)
The ability to communicate technical findings clearly to a range of stakeholders
A collaborative approach with experience working across engineering, operations, or delivery teams
Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and attention to detail
Experience within utilities, infrastructure, or similarly regulated environments (desirable)Candidates with experience in sectors such as large infrastructure programmes (e.g. HS2), environmental delivery, transport, energy, or utilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
