Main Scope of Role
As Associate Scientist you will support routine and bespoke assays (both manually and using liquid-handling robots), and processing data to a high quality, within specified timelines
Key Responsibilities
Scientific
1. Prepare, monitor and maintain compounds, stock solutions, buffers, and any other assay related materials
2. To be responsible for the validation, routine maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment to support assay execution and/or sample analysis as required.
3. Support the execution of assigned routine and bespoke assays.
4. Assist in data analysis and interpretation.
5. To ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order on completion of assigned tasks.
6. Ensure that all errors and erroneous results are reported to your supervisor with minimal delay.
7. Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all activities as required by relevant SOPs and Quality policies.

8. To assist on the supervision and mentoring of trainees and other support staff when required.
9. To treat all colleagues with dignity and respect.
Business
10. Participate in initiatives to improve group processes and make efficiency gains in assays.
11. To ensure work is performed to an exceptionally high standard, within specified time frames, ensuring safety regulations and QC procedures are strictly adhered to.
Self
12. Ensure appropriate Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times in the workplace.
13. Participate in all mandatory training required to perform effectively in job role.
14. To ensure that your personal training record is up to date and that any gaps are discussed with your supervisor.
15. Complete timesheets on time and in accordance with guidance from Finance.
16. Actively participate in Evotalks and agree on personal targets and expectations with supervisor.
17. Any other task that may reasonably be requested by your supervisor.
