We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager specialising in Fraud Investigations and Recoveries within Fraud Operations.
The person in role will lead a team of up to 5 direct reports and up to 60 indirect reports and play a pivotal role in the organisations ambition to develop a centre of excellence in the prevention and mitigation of Fraud.
Within this role they will seek to drive efficiencies through process optimisation and performance management and invest heavily in team development to build both best practice and high levels of team resilience.
The role holder will be an SME in delivering assurance activities and reporting that demonstrates compliance with regulatory frameworks, internal policies and good member outcomes. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure these teams operate efficiently and in compliance with the organisations risk appetite. The person in role will leverage best practices to optimise resource utilisation, mitigate risks, and minimise preventable losses.
This role will pre-dominantly focus on managing activities related to the investigations and remediation of fraud, including authorised push payments, account takeover and 1 st party fraud, but may vary in scope.

This role can operate from either our Head Office campus in Binley, Coventry or our Manchester office but as a Group role, travel to both locations will be required. A team-led hybrid working arrangement is in place.

About you
You will have a deep understanding of Fraud acting as an SME to support wider teams across the organisation. You will have the ability to inspire motivate and manage larger teams whilst being comfortable with managing conflicting views and rationalising fraud decisions within the regulatory and internal frameworks.
A team player who is confident under pressure and has the ability to engage with a broad mix of stakeholders including senior managers. Translating complex information into straight forward communications and recommendations in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role it's essential you have: Thorough understanding of Financial Crime processes, how the organisation defines Financial Crime and the regulations and rules that govern them.
Proven experience in leading multiple teams in a complex, fast paced, high risk environment
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and deliver to a network of senior leaders across all functions
Ability to understand complex policies and have the ability to translate this into practical delivery.
A strong customer centric ethos
Ability to engage and motivate large operational teams to achieve objectives
Evidence experience of risk management in a front-line capacity
Desirable experience will be: Experience in delivering change at pace
Proven experience of process optimisation
Previous experience in delivering multi-skilling plans
Capability to address and resolve issues identified during assurance reviews
