First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Chemical Operator on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
2. Load and unload road tankers and curtain-sided delivery vehicles.
3. Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
4. Operate a forklift truck for materials handling.
5. Collaborate with team members to resolve operational challenges.
6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
7. Accurately perform calculations and measurements related to chemical processes.
8. Participate in stock management and materials storage tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
9. Valid FLT licence preferred, but not essential.
10. Experience handling hazardous chemicals is desirable but not required.
11. Strong attention to detail and high safety standards.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Basic maths skills essential for production-related calculations.
14. Physically capable of lifting and operating machinery safely.
15. GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum + Bonus
