The main focuses for the Financial Crime Officer will be as follows:
1. Support policies relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), PEPs, Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Sanctions.
2. Assist in ensuring regulatory and legislative developments in financial crime are identified and required changes implemented.
3. Advise the business day to day on policy application and interpretation e.g. Customer Due Diligence requirements, reviewing Onboarding risk assessment output.
4. Work with the business on project work for any new products or product development,
5. Maintain appropriate industry and specialist knowledge.
6. Solve complex problems; take a new perspective on existing solutions
7. Work independently receiving minimal guidance
8. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
9. Act as a point of reference for the business in respect of AML, CDD, PEPs and Sanctions.
10. Analyse more complex technical queries, delivering solutions where no current model exists.
11. May have direct contact with clients and the authority to advise on Fin Crime matters.
12. Assist the DMLRO in their AML responsibilities including acting as their nominate as and when necessary
The Financial Crime Officer should have:
13. Strong work ethic and able to work on own initiative
14. Report writing experience
15. Ability to communicate at all levels
16. Ability to multi task and prioritise
17. Strong administrative skills
18. Relevant industry qualifications (such as the ICA AML Certificate), or willingness to study

26. Minimise the impact of workflow peaks and troughs upon customer service standards
27. Has advanced and specialised expertise, typically developed through both job-related training and work experience
