We have a Faculty Planning Officer opportunity available in the Business and Law Faculty. The role will provide data analysis and planning support for strategic planning processes and strategic priorities at the University, however previous experience of working at a university is not essential. You will be responsible for in depth analysis and reports for colleagues and you will be required to use analytical skills and a professional outlook to effectively deal with internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for excellent communicators, who have the ability to disseminate complex information appropriate to the audience, and can negotiate and influence people at all levels.
A little more about the role:
Typically, you will be responsible for writing and analysing management information, data, and reports to identify trends and inform decision-making. You will also contribute to the development and continuous improvement of management information systems and processes.
Assisting with planning-related operations is also an important aspect of this role, ensuring that space and resource planning aligns with strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of using data management systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) to a high standard including constructing complex multi-layered spreadsheets
* The ability to balance competing demands and manage expectations in a professional manner
* Experience in developing and operating successful information analysis operations in a large, complex organisation
* Statistical analysis, including analysing complex data sets to provide conclusions and solutions
* Experience working with variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
* Enjoys a challenge, getting stuck in, and is a team player

You'll be welcomed into a dynamic and ambitious Faculty Planning Team that is part of the wider University Strategic Planning Directorate.
The University Strategic Planning Directorate is responsible for the delivery of institutional strategy through oversight of the planning process, monitoring and analysing institutional performance, assessing risk and supporting strategy developments. The team provides essential guidance and support for the implementation strategic priorities.
