Location: Near Fareham, Hampshire (Commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Waterlooville)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (Depending on experience) + Benefits

About Us
Our client is a well-established, rapidly growing Fire & Security company with a reputation for excellence. As they continue to expand our client base across the region, we are looking for a dedicated Intruder Alarm Support Specialist to join the close-knit team near Fareham. This is a pivotal role where your technical insights will directly support the field engineers and keep our clients safe and satisfied.
The Role
If you have a background in security systems but are looking to transition away from the heavy lifting of field installations, or if you possess strong tech-support skills coupled with electronic security knowledge, this is the perfect step forward.
You will act as the vital bridge between our field engineering team and our diverse client base, providing high-quality remote assistance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:

Engineer Support: Provide over-the-phone technical guidance to field engineers during installations, commissioning, and fault-finding.

Client Assistance: Act as the first point of contact for clients experiencing system queries, helping to diagnose and resolve faults remotely where possible.

System Configuration: Assist with remote programming, panel setups, and managing cloud-based security software applications.
*
Problem Solving: Efficiently triage technical issues, escalating complex matters to senior engineering teams or manufacturers when necessary.
What We Are Looking For

Industry Knowledge: Some prior knowledge or experience with intruder alarm systems (e.g., Texecom, Galaxy, Pyronix, Orisec) is highly desirable.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with software platforms, IP networking, and mobile apps related to modern security systems.

Communication Skills: An excellent telephone manner with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients.
