Job Opportunity: Geo-Environmental Engineer at RSK Geosciences

Position Overview
As a geo-environmental engineer, you will undertake project investigations, focusing on site-based work, including geo-environmental and geotechnical investigations, data interpretation, and reporting. We seek proactive individuals with a keen eye for detail, enthusiasm, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive site investigations in line with standards and codes of practice.
2. Manage field activities, supervise drilling and excavation, and perform gas and groundwater monitoring.
3. Assist in project planning, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing SHEQ documentation.
4. Coordinate laboratory testing of soil, rock, and water samples.
5. Prepare factual and interpretative reports.
6. Support tender managers in developing fee proposals.
Candidate Requirements
* BSc degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
* 2-3 years relevant work experience.
* Rock core logging skills are a plus but not essential.
* Willingness to spend significant time on-site and away from home.
* Excellent communication skills, including report writing.
* Ability to multitask, plan, and prioritize.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Active or aspiring membership of a relevant professional body.
* Full UK driving license.
