Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist lawyers in preparing cases, conducting research, and managing legal documents. Duties
* Conduct legal research using online databases and legal resources to support case preparation.
* Draft, review, and organise legal documents, including briefs, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence.
* Manage and maintain accurate case files and records both digitally and physically.
* Assist in preparing pleadings, discovery documents, and other court submissions.
* Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external agencies to gather necessary information.
* Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings using organisational tools such as Microsoft Outlook.
* Utilise Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations related to cases.
* Ensure compliance with deadlines and legal procedures through effective time management.
* Support the legal team with administrative tasks as required to facilitate case progression.
Qualifications
* Proven communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate information both verbally and in writing.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
* Good understanding of IT systems relevant to legal research and document management.
* Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Prior experience or education in law or paralegal studies is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
