About The Role
As an Assistant Estimator, you will take the lead in the tender process of smaller schemes of circa £500k–£3m, and may assist on larger schemes. You will be fully supported by a Senior Estimator and the Head Of Estimating and will be working with a Preconstruction team of 8. The client utilises their framework and has a strong pipeline of work. Working hours are 8:30–17:00 with 1 hour for lunch.
Responsibilities
* Lead the tender process for smaller schemes (circa £500k–£3m).
* Assist on larger schemes as needed.
* Work closely with a Senior Estimator and the Head Of Estimating.
* Utilise the company’s framework and manage a strong pipeline of work.
Qualifications
* 2+ years’ experience as an Estimator with a main contractor.
* Experience working on refurbishment or new build schemes.
Required Skills
* Understanding of the tender process.
* Ability to deal effectively with the supply chain.
* Strong measurement skills.
* Self-directed and highly motivated.
* Confident team player.
* Looking for a long-term move.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in sectors such as Education, Health Care, Leisure, and Commercial Buildings.
