As a Manufacturing & Production Assistant, your main responsibility is to support the day-to-day operations of our in-house manufacturing processes. This includes assisting with batch mixing, product bottling, filling, labelling, quality control, and line efficiency. You will be an integral part of the production team.
While you may occasionally support warehouse operations, this role is heavily focused on manufacturing duties.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing and Production
* Assist in batching and blending processes according to product formulas and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Operate bottling, filling, capping, and labelling machines to produce finished goods.
* Conduct in-process checks to maintain product consistency and quality.
* Clean and prepare mixing tanks, work surfaces, and tools between batches to ensure safety standards.
Quality Control
* Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects, contamination, or inconsistencies.
* Accurately record batch numbers, test results, and any non-conformities.
* Ensure that all products meet Lanoguard's internal quality benchmarks before packaging.
Workplace Organization & Safety
* Maintain a tidy and efficient production workspace
* Follow health and safety protocols, including safe handling of materials, PPE usage, and spill response procedures.
* Report equipment issues or hazards to supervisors promptly
Warehouse Support (Occasional)
* Assist with receiving and organising raw materials or packaging stock when needed.
* Support inventory checks and restocking of production line supplies.
* Prepare finished goods for transfer to the dispatch area.
Requirements
Essential
* Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly role.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
* This role requires the ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 25kg, as this is an essential part of the role
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
* Experience in chemical blending, industrial mixing, or packaging line machinery.
* Knowledge of HSE regulations, COSHH standards, or lean manufacturing.
* Basic computer skills for batch records and inventory systems.
* Forklift or pallet truck certification.
