An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey, known for its academic excellence and strong departmental success, requires a skilled and passionate Chemistry Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 within a high-achieving Science department.
Responsibilities:
The appointed Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that challenge students and ensure excellent outcomes, meeting curriculum requirements and examination board specifications (GCSE and A-Level). You will foster a deep understanding of chemical concepts, promote scientific inquiry through practical work, assess student progress rigorously, and provide effective feedback. Contributing to the development of the Chemistry curriculum is a vital part of the role for any Chemistry Teacher.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Chemistry Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Chemistry or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, including A-Level, is essential, ideally with a track record of strong results. Excellent subject knowledge, a passion for chemistry, and strong communication skills are required. We are looking for an inspiring Chemistry Teacher.
