At PepsiCo UK, we’re proud to make some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—like Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. We operate sites across the UK, including our Quaker mill in Cupar and Doritos factory in Coventry, and a large crisp factory in Leicester. By the end of 2025 we will move our UK office to a vibrant new Reading town centre location, just minutes from Reading train station. This role is responsible for driving an agenda on category and business performance within our Grains BU on our key brands Quaker and Scotts. Acting as a close partner to the Grains General Manager, you will support with using consumer and market data to solve business problems and collaborate with colleagues across the full scope of our generating demand teams from marketing through to customer.
Responsibilities
* Lead monthly review of external business performance on Grains to feed into the monthly commercial review process (Hit Plan / MBR)
* Lead the preparation of content on external performance e.g., category growth, market share, competitor performance, interpreting market data and distilling into single messages / recommendations
* Present this external performance summary to the commercial leadership (includes Sales, Finance, Marketing and NRM leads)
* Lead follow‑up actions from these sessions, turning questions into clear briefs and coordinating analysis with stakeholders
* Own the overall category performance narrative on Grains for QBR meetings, brand planning and strategic reviews
* Lead the compilation of the Grains Quarterly Business Review deck
* Support the Grains General Manager through briefs on business performance and market understanding
* Integrate with teams across the Grains Business (Marketing, NRM, Perfect Store, Category Management) to build a strong narrative and address key business intelligence questions
* Collaborate with the Grains Marketing Insights Manager turning business needs into clear briefs and supporting the Business Intelligence Lead
* Lead the compilation of Business Intelligence information for the Grains Annual Planning process (ICP)
* Support in the tracking of NPD performance, acting as the insights expert
* Champion the implementation of the Growth Navigator within Grains and its Scorecard
* Develop knowledge and lead the process of Growth Navigator scorecard updating
* Own and lead the delivery of a road map of in depth Business Intelligence studies
* Own the business’ perspective on long term category growth trajectories modelling and aligning to a core scenario
* Collaborate with Consumer and Strategic Insights to tell one holistic story on Grains
* Lead the development of continuous data skills across the Grains community, upskilling team members
* Improve the service delivery of BI by simplifying information and ensuring relevance
* Own and facilitate market share forecasting, consolidating inputs and collaborating with Finance on projections
Qualifications
* Proven ability to turn complex insights into simple stories and actionable recommendations
* Highly analytical, comfortable with complex data sources, analyzing, interpreting and presenting information (Excel, PowerPoint, ThinkCell)
* Commercial awareness in terms of markets, competitors, the retail trade and macro issues
* Cross‑functional experience or exposure to the end‑to‑end generating demand value chain
* Market insight technical expertise in continuous data sources (Nielsen/Kantar)
* Capable of managing ambiguity and articulating insights briefs
* Comfortable working with external agencies and offshore teams, establishing ways of working
* Understanding of science‑driven principles of sustainable brand growth (Ehrenberg‑Bass)
