An opportunity has become available for a pharmacy technician to join the Logistics team at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Your role will be to support the Chief Pharmacy Technicians in the day-to-day management of the pharmacy distribution and procurement services provided from the Pharmacy Stores department at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) who are due to register as pharmacy technicians with the GPhC within the next 6 months or by September 2025 are eligible to apply for this post.
Responsibilities include leading the annual ward stock list review process in liaising with Divisional pharmacists and Ward/Theatre Managers, managing the collection, reporting, and analysis of additional stock requests.
You will also support the management, development, and delivery of education and training related to distribution and procurement for pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians and support staff.
You will assist the chief technicians in maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures to improve service quality and reduce risk, as well as support staff recruitment, return-to-work processes, annual leave allocation, and appraisals.
