We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The Support Worker will provide assistance and care to individuals with various physical, mental, or emotional needs, helping them lead as independent and fulfilling lives as possible.
This role involves a variety of tasks, including personal care, emotional support, and aiding clients in achieving their goals, whether in a home, community, or supported living care setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility as needed.
* Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and emotional support to clients, helping them manage stress, anxiety, or mental health challenges.
* Health Monitoring: Support clients with health-related tasks, including medication management, appointments, and monitoring their physical well-being.
* Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
* Social and Recreational Support: Encourage clients to engage in social and recreational activities to promote social inclusion and personal growth.
* Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the client, ensuring their rights are respected, and that they have access to appropriate services and opportunities.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the client’s progress, needs, and any incidents or concerns that arise.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to ensure the well-being and safety of the client.
