Programme details
Our apprenticeship is designed for school leavers and career changers, open to individuals from all backgrounds and ages. The cohort will include people from diverse walks of life, including ex-military and parents returning to work.

Role and responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day operations of the Chief Security Office, providing insights and expertise to support the business area’s vision and mission.
* Collaborate with teams to reduce risk, protect customers and clients, and deliver world-class security services.
* Identify opportunities to improve agility and adopt an agile, intelligence-led approach to security delivery.
* Work with cross-functional teams on business projects and initiatives; clearly articulate opportunities for positive change.
* Meet stakeholder and customer needs through operational excellence and high standards of service.
* Manage risk and strengthen controls related to your responsibilities, delivering work in line with applicable rules and codes of conduct.
* Build relationships with stakeholders and customers to understand needs and address sensitive issues as required.
What you’ll learn and do
* Learn about Cyber & Security areas such as Cyber & Physical Security, Resilience, Crisis Management, Security Operations and Intelligence.
* Gain hands-on experience in a permanent role while pursuing a professional qualification.
* Receive ongoing support from Barclays, including guidance from your Programme Support Manager and subject-matter experts.
Eligibility and qualifications
* 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (9-5) including Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Commitment and enthusiasm; willingness to work hard and think differently.
* You must meet the Government apprenticeship funding requirements for England, including being ordinarily resident in the UK for the previous three years on the first day of learning and holding the legal right to work for the duration of the programme.

Location and working in Knutsford
Knutsford campus is set in 64 acres of grounds and offers on-site facilities and accessibility options. The site is undergoing redevelopment to provide a modern, sustainable workspace with a supportive community.
