GSL Education are delighted to welcome a Design Technology Teacher to Sheffield schools, inspiring learners in S2 and S3 to build technical skills and creativity. As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver lessons that blend practical and theoretical learning, inspiring students to design, create, and evaluate projects while building confidence and independence. Main Responsibilities of Design Technology Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver practical and theory-based lessons in design technology. Support students in developing design, making, and evaluating skills. Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials at all times. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support learning outcomes. Requirements: Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching design technology. Strong knowledge of the curriculum and practical DT skills. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to inspire creativity and foster a hands-on learning environment. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare.
