Education Support Worker (ESW) Student Services, Wellbeing Team 37 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year, permanent £27,151 - £28,976 per annum The purpose of the Education Support Worker (ESW) role is to support a group of students, defined by the College as vulnerable young people. This includes students that are currently or have previously been Looked After. You will join a busy team in our student services Wellbeing team where you will support a caseload of students to engage well with their education and therefore to have the best chance of being successful on their course.
You will work closely with a wide variety of professionals including our internal college wellbeing and teaching delivery teams as well as external social workers, support workers and carers from different Local Authorities. The role is focussed on co-ordinating and contributing to support meetings such as Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings, communicating planned targets, actions, and progress to teaching delivery staff, parents / carers, and managers as well as monitoring and supporting individual students to so that they are able to maintain consistent attendance and achievement on their chosen course.
