Role Overview
The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) would like to invite you to apply for the role of Intelligence Development Officer within the Sensitive Intelligence Unit (SIU). As a PC within the SIU, you will be responsible for developing covert intelligence streams to support SEROCU syndicates and Force Proactive Organised Crime Teams in the fight against Serious & Organised Crime.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop covert intelligence streams to support SEROCU syndicates and Force Proactive Organised Crime Teams in the fight against Serious & Organised Crime.
* Work in partnership with national agencies, deploying high equity intelligence assets to provide SOC Senior Investigating Officers with the tools they need as close to the mission as possible.
* Provide live intelligence updates to officers involved in intelligence collection and SOC investigation teams.
* Play a pivotal role in identifying previously unknown threats to the public and ensuring law enforcement is best equipped to combat these threats.
* Act as the first point of contact in Threat to Life, Crime in Action, Kidnap and other dynamic situations, managing risk through identification of a risk owner and ongoing intelligence support.
* Maintain relationships with national partners to demonstrate that the SEROCU SIU is a centre of excellence in technological capability.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK driving licence.
* Security vetting to SC level with enhanced checks. Must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years.
* Experience in covert intelligence development and high equity collection.
* Strong tactical skills and knowledge of partner agencies.
* Ability to analyse intelligence rapidly and provide actionable intelligence.
