Offer description

Consultant in Otolaryngology (with Special Interest in Otology)

Applications are invited for a substantive full time (10PA) post for a consultant based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH). Successful candidates will complement the skills of the department and work flexibly within the team across the Norfolk and Waveney combined Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) service. This is a post for a general Otolaryngologist with an interest in Otology and Bone Conducting Implants (BCIs) and devices. The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital is a recognised centre for BCIs and candidates who wish to develop an interest in BCIs and middle ear implants would be welcomed. If appropriate, all training for BCIs would be provided, with excellent support from a dedicated Audiology team.

A fellowship in otology would be desirable but not essential, since we would support the development of an otologist, particularly with respect to the management of complex otological conditions.

We welcome all applications irrespective of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion. Additionally, people with disabilities will be offered an interview provided they meet the minimum criteria for the post. The Trust operates job share and flexible working.
