Sanquhar Academy is a welcoming and inclusive secondary school situated in the scenic Upper Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway. Our school serves the Royal Burgh of Sanquhar and the nearby communities of Kirkconnel, Kelloholm, and Wanlockhead. With excellent transport links, Sanquhar is easily accessible from much of Dumfries and Galloway, as well as neighbouring areas in Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Glasgow.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our supportive and experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school community that is committed to making a real and lasting difference in the lives of our young people.

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. From 28 February, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
