Integrated Master Scheduler

Bristol

Management level C

Why join Rolls-Royce?

At Rolls-Royce we are proud to be a business that has truly helped to shape the modern world and are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

By joining Rolls-Royce, you'll have the opportunity to work on world-class solutions, supported by a culture that believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integrated Master Scheduler to join the Defence UK&I Early Lifecycle Directorate, supporting the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).

This role brings clarity and coherence to complex, multi-stakeholder plans, integrating inputs from internal teams, national and international partners, and customers into a single, trusted view of schedule performance.

As the programme scheduling Subject Matter Expert, you will enable confident decision-making, drive continuous improvement in planning capability, and play a key role in delivering a programme central to the future of Defence capability for decades to come.

Please note this role is subject to UK Security Clearance SC minimum.

What you will be doing:

* Act as the recognised Subject Matter Expert for integrated scheduling, setting and maintaining standards for planning processes, data quality, skills, and toolsets across the programme.
* Integrate delivery plans from internal teams, international and national partners, and customers into a single, coherent Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring clarity of dependencies, integration points, and the critical path.
* Govern the planning cycle including change control, ensuring disciplined execution, compliance, and alignment to programme and contractual requirements.
* Provide clear, actionable insight into schedule performance, risk, and forecast, enabling effective decision-making, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment at all levels.
* Drive continuous improvement of planning capability and outcomes, balancing short-term delivery (perform) with longer-term maturity, efficiency, and resilience of the scheduling function (transform).

Position requirements:

* Experience working within project or programme environments, with accountability for planning against quality, time, cost, and performance objectives.
* Proven experience with Integrated Master Schedules and an understanding of schedule performance, forecasting, and earned value or equivalent control methodologies.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal teams, partners, and customers across organisational and geographical boundaries.
* Sound working knowledge of planning processes, data, and scheduling tools, with the credibility to operate as a trusted advisor to project and planning practitioners.
* Collaborative, adaptable team player able to bring together cross-functional contributors in a complex delivery environment.

Preferred qualifications:

* Professional membership of, or progress toward membership of, a recognised project management body (e.g. APM, PMI).
* Experience contributing to or delivering multiple stages of a project lifecycle, with exposure to change control and governance in a regulated environment.
* Exposure to adjacent disciplines such as commercial, procurement, engineering management, or finance, supporting effective integration across the programme.
* Experience working with national or international partners and customers within complex programme or matrix organisations.

Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.

The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

It is advised that you inform your current manager of your application for this role.

Our vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. Our multi-year transformation programme aims to turn Rolls-Royce into a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing company. Join us, and it can be your future vision too.

Rolls-Royce are committed to being a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace where individuality is valued, diverse perspectives fuel innovation, and everyone can thrive.

Grade: Management Level C
