About the Role
The Communications Executive will play a crucial role in elevating Safeguard Europe's brand visibility and driving the success of our marketing campaigns. This involves developing and executing the PR strategy, crafting engaging narratives, proactively pitching stories and commentary to journalists and managing incoming media inquiries. The role requires close collaboration with internal experts to ensure accurate and positive media coverage in national and trade publications. You will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of identifying opportunities and implementing innovative solutions to enhance Safeguard's brand presence and reach a broader audience for our products. Experience in securing earned media coverage is essential to this role.

Duties
* Establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with journalists, influencers and industry figures to secure coverage in the national media.
* Collaborate with the wider marketing team to create a comprehensive public relations strategy that boosts brand visibility, enhances company reputation and drives business expansion.
* Create headline-worthy press releases that showcase our unique expertise, reflect our company values and highlight our product range.
* Engage actively with the media to pitch compelling stories, schedule media kit deliveries, coordinate interviews and respond promptly to inbound enquiries.
* Stay up-to-date with industry and wider trends to identify emerging opportunities.
* Monitor, evaluate and report on PR campaign effectiveness.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with wider company direction.
Skills and Experience Needed
* At least 3 years' experience in brand media public relations (either in an agency or in-house role).
* A proven track record in securing national media coverage for brands.
* The ability to explain highly technical concepts to a general audience.
* A creative flair for storytelling and the ability to justify new ideas with data.
* The ability to constructively consider and action feedback from multiple stakeholders.
* Proactive networking and outreach skills.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
