Personal Assistant to MD Department - Head Office Location -Liskeard, Cornwall Salary -Dependent on Experience Job Description Our client is looking for a highly organised and experienced Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Managing Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a senior leader, delivering administrative, logistical, and personal support to ensure the smooth running of both professional and personal commitments. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including diary coordination, travel planning, correspondence management, and project assistance. The successful candidate will be proactive, discreet, and an excellent communicator with a strong ability to prioritise and multitask. Key Responsibilities Diary & Schedule Management Manage and prioritise the Managing Director’s diary, arranging meetings, appointments, and events and avoiding scheduling conflicts Provide briefing materials and background information ahead of meetings Travel Coordination Arrange complex domestic and international travel including flights, accommodation, ground transport, and visas Ensure all travel logistics are well-planned across different time zones Communication Management Manage incoming emails, calls, and correspondence on behalf of the Managing Director Respond where appropriate and ensure timely follow-up on key matters Meeting Support Prepare agendas and documentation Take minutes and track actions to ensure completion Confidentiality & Professionalism Handle sensitive information with complete discretion and integrity Project Support Assist with projects and initiatives driven by the Managing Director Monitor progress, deadlines, and documentation Personal Assistance Support with personal tasks where required, helping balance both professional and personal commitments Event Coordination Assist with planning and delivering meetings, conferences, and corporate events Attend events when required Property Management Support the management of the Managing Director’s personal properties Coordinate maintenance, inspections, tenant queries (where applicable), and contractor liaison Ensure any urgent issues are resolved promptly Additional Operational Support Uniform Management – Manage the ordering, stock, and distribution of company uniforms Phone Management – Coordinate mobile phone contracts, upgrades, cancellations, and service issues, including base phone systems Insurance Management – Maintain insurance records, liaise with providers, and ensure policy renewals and appropriate coverage Company Vehicle Management – Oversee maintenance, insurance, renewals, and compliance for company vehicles Errands – Carry out various errands as required to support the Managing Director’s schedule Ad-Hoc Support Undertake additional tasks and projects as needed to support business and strategic priorities Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, ideally supporting senior leadership or C-suite Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and approachable manner Absolute discretion when handling confidential information Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent time-management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure Ability to work independently and collaboratively High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach Flexibility to travel occasionally to any of our five UK sites Desirable Experience Previous experience supporting a Managing Director or senior executive Experience within the aviation sector, particularly helicopters Contract Details Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract Length: 6 months If this sounds like the role for you, apply below
