Analysis of downtime, rate, and yield leading to development of improvement activities to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
1. Interrogate historical data and provide trend analysis of production processes and failures.
2. Develop Key Action Plans to implement permanent corrective actions.
3. Analyze production issues using collected data and process knowledge to provide solutions.
4. Collaborate with production teams to understand constraints and develop improvement actions to increase OEE.
5. Provide training to production operators to improve understanding and standardization of processes.
6. Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimize machine availability and productivity.
7. Use statistical techniques appropriately.
8. Manage day-to-day process control, safety, and the installation of new procedures and equipment.
9. Standardize and improve current and future production processes.
10. Optimize existing production equipment.
11. Enhance overall quality levels.
12. Upscale and transfer new products/processes into production.
13. Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
14. Develop control system solutions.
15. Provide technical support and field support, including commissioning control systems.
16. Design control systems.
Qualifications and Experience
* Time Served Engineer with five to seven years' experience in programming and designing processors and systems.
* Proven track record of continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry, with experience supplying large OEMs.
* HNC in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Control, or Mechatronics) (minimum).
* PLC Programming: Mitsubishi (Q series), Allen Bradley, Siemens.
* HMI Programming: Beijer, Allen Bradley.
* Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA, and SQL.
* Knowledge of Process Control Systems, Automation, and Instrumentation Data Analysis.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis and process optimization tools (Six Sigma, DOE, SPC).
