Reporting to the Head of IT, our ideal candidate will have a hands-on leadership background, shaping the future of our security posture, influencing cross-functional teams, and ensuring our systems, people, and processes are secure, compliant, and resilient.

How you will contribute:
1. Lead and manage a small team of Information Security Analysts, providing direction, support, and development.
2. Own and maintain our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
3. Drive the implementation of Cyber Essentials Plus and other key security standards.
4. Develop and update security policies, procedures, and controls to protect our systems and data.
5. Conduct regular risk assessments and manage mitigation plans to reduce vulnerabilities.
6. Respond to security incidents, lead investigations, and coordinate recovery efforts.
7. Produce monthly reports on security performance, risks, and incidents for senior leadership.
8. Collaborate across departments—including project, development, and operations teams—to embed security in all activities.
9. Promote a strong security culture through training and awareness sessions for staff.
10. Support business continuity planning, developing and testing disaster recovery strategies.
11. Evaluate third-party vendors for security compliance and manage related risks.
What you will bring:
1. Proven experience managing an ISO 27001 ISMS and achieving/maintaining certification.
2. Strong understanding of Cyber Essentials Plus and experience implementing it.
3. Solid knowledge of information security principles, risk management, and compliance.
4. Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
6. Ability to produce clear, actionable reports and security metrics.
7. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
8. A valid UK driving license.
