You will be working part time, 18 hours per week (3 x 6 hour shifts per week), at Cygnet Fountains, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.
Cygnet Fountains is a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for men with severe and enduring mental illness, who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. The individuals we support come to us following multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programs, or stepping down from secure settings.

* Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetizing meals
* Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
* Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
* Wash utensils, dishes, and ensure they are stored appropriately
* Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
* Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment according to Cygnet procedures
* Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

You are...
* At least 2 years of experience in a commercial catering setting, preferably within care
* The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
* Enthusiastic, keen to learn, and an active team member
* Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times
* An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
* Diligent & pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
* Able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team, and under supervision
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
