Your Role
As a Stone Sawyer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, using your expertise to transform raw stone slabs into the precise shapes
and finishes that bring our visionary projects to life.
Responsibilities
* Precision Cutting: Operate and maintain advanced saw equipment to cut natural and engineered stone slabs to exact specifications.
* Attention to Detail: Ensure all cuts align with detailed plans, layouts, and project requirements.
* Book Matching Expertise: Create stunning book-matched designs by carefully aligning veining and patterns, turning stone into seamless visual masterpieces.
* Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for defects and ensure each piece meets our exceptional standards.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Design, Fabrication, and Install Teams to bring ambitious concepts to reality.
* Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a dedicated professional who combines technical skill with a creative mindset.
Requirements
* Proven experience operating stone cutting equipment.
* A strong understanding of natural stone types, patterns, and cutting techniques.
* Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
* A commitment to precision, quality, and craftsmanship.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
* Physical stamina to handle and manoeuvre heavy materials safely.
* Driving license and own car (no public transport links to the workshop in Ansty)
