Petrofac is seeking a Cost Engineer - Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
Scope of Services:
Assist the Principal Cost Engineer with cost management and control on large EPC contract, to enable accurate internal and external reporting.
Accountability for Deliverables:
The following is an outline of key duties and accountabilities; however, the candidate is expected to undertake any tasks which are deemed reasonable for this position. This role is progressive, with the view to gradually assisting with Cost Reporting.
* Create the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and apply standard phase template in the mpower system.
* Link Cost Estimates / Project Change Requests (PCR) in mpower to populate budgets at phase level.
* Maintain CBS and PCR status.
* Maintain fields within the CBS which hold pertinent information such as Purchase / Service Order (PO / SO) number and value.
* Assist with adding, amending, and maintaining rates within mpower to produce Cost Estimates / Value of Work Done (VOWD) and Forecasts.
* Monitor and issue weekly time writing and commitment reports to the team.
* Update and issue weekly Non-Productive Time (NPT) reports to the team.
* Update and feed into the Monthly Project Report.
* Assist with reviewing, coding and approving requisitions in line with approved budgets.
* Assist with Cost / Commercial / Client reconciliations and monthly invoice tracking.
