Employee Relations Partner
Location: UK (Hybrid – 2 days office-based)
Contract: 3 months initial (likelihood of extension)
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Partner to join a specialist ER team within a large, fast-paced organisation. This is a senior ER role, partnering closely with leaders and HR colleagues to deliver high-quality, pragmatic advice on complex and high-risk employee relations matters.
The Role
Reporting to an ER Manager, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert, supporting business areas to manage risk, apply employment law effectively and strengthen people management capability. You will work proactively, using insight and data to identify trends, anticipate challenges and drive continuous improvement across employee relations practices.
Alongside hands-on case management, you will play a key role in supporting organisational change and ensuring people impacts are managed fairly, consistently and in line with legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex, high-risk ER cases, providing clear, commercially balanced advice.
* Oversee escalated cases and provide guidance to ER Advisors.
* Partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
* Deliver insight and recommendations using ER data and metrics.
* Support organisational change activity (e.g. restructuring, redundancy, TUPE), including consultation support and documentation.
* Develop and deliver targeted training and coaching to improve ER capability.
* Contribute to policy development and practical improvements following case outcomes.
* Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, including employee representatives where appropriate.
* Champion consistent, fair and legally compliant people practices.
About You
* Significant experience in an Employee Relations role, advising on complex and high-risk matters.
* Strong, practical knowledge of UK employment law.
* Proven experience supporting large-scale change programmes with ER implications.
* Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge at all levels.
* Analytical and detail-focused, with experience using data to drive improvement.
* Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
* Comfortable working collaboratively across HR and the wider business.
