Part time Finance and Office Manager, York, £35,000-£40,000 FTE
An established and growing SME based in York is seeking an experienced Finance and Office Manager to join the team on a part-time basis to work 16-20 hours/week to work over 3,4 or 5 days. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for a wide range of financial and administrative duties. You will oversee core office functions, manage financial processes, and provide support to both the purchase and sales ledgers.
This is a hands-on and varied role that would suit someone with strong organisational and analytical skills, and a proactive honest attitude.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure timely payments and effective cash flow management
2. Oversee ledger accounts and reconcile supplier statements
3. Manage the office budget, review and process invoices and expenses
4. Assist with monthly payroll preparation
5. Implement and maintain office policies and procedures
6. Support stock control and stock management processes
7. Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for cost saving
8. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and internal policies
9. Oversee building maintenance and utilities contracts
10. Provide ad-hoc financial insights and administrative support to senior management
Person Specification
11. Previous experience in a finance or office management role
12. Solid understanding of finance processes, including cash flow and budgeting
13. Experience using Sage is desirable (training can be provided)
14. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
15. High level of integrity and attention to detail
16. Confident working independently and as part of a team
