Overview
Here at Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The role includes assisting with routine consultations, operations, and diagnostics. Our RCVS-accredited tier 3 veterinary hospital is growing, and we are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in internal medicine to join a team of 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Registered Nurses and 6 Animal Nursing Assistants in our purpose-built, well-equipped hospital on the edge of a lovely Cotswold market town.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include supporting routine consultations, performing operations, and assisting with diagnostics as part of a collaborative team in a high-standard hospital. The practice features a full lab, DR x-ray system, dental x-ray, 64-slice CT scanner, various endoscopes, ultrasound with colour Doppler, full orthopaedic kit, slit lamp and tonometer, among other equipment.
Qualifications
• Enthusiastic, experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in internal medicine • RCVS-accredited tier 3 hospital experience • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including Specialists and Advanced Practitioners • Commitment to high standards of care and client service
Work Pattern
The full-time rota is 8:30 am – 7:00 pm, 4 days a week, with 1 in 3 Saturday shifts from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm, and 1 in 10 on call. We aim to support work/life balance and can adjust rota patterns to suit personal needs.
