Overview
Water Technologies- ELGA LabWater, a leading provider of laboratory water purification systems, is seeking a Production Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations in the UK and China and ensure smooth transitions from engineering design to production. The role is office based in Lane End, High Wycombe with occasional travel within the UK and to China.
Responsibilities
* Project Handovers: Facilitate the effective handover of projects from the Engineering and Industrialisation department to manufacturing, ensuring smooth integration into production.
* Tooling and Fixtures Development: Design, identify, and produce tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support various teams across the facility.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation.
* Manufacturing Support: Provide engineering support for all plant equipment, including machinery, tooling, rigs, and production assets.
* Special Projects: Assist with sourcing and installation of new equipment; system design and fabrication of parts and assemblies.
* Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify areas for cost-saving and implement efficiency improvements.
* Quality Assurance: Investigate and resolve quality issues, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
* Team Coordination: Coordinate team tasks, monitor progress, and mentor junior members as needed.
* Travel: Willingness to travel between the UK and China to support production facilities.
Key Requirements
* Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in a production engineering role.
* Experience: Proven experience in a production engineering environment with strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling design.
* Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team; knowledge of manufacturing systems, machinery, and quality control; experience in cost optimisation.
* Travel: Willingness to travel between the UK and China.
