About Us
NGM is a passionate creative ministry which has been in existence for 40 years. Ray and Nancy Goudie left Scotland in June 1980 with a vision to see lives transformed by the love and power of God. They started a band called Heartbeat that became a vehicle through which thousands of people came to know God for themselves. They changed the name to NGM during the 1980's and in the 1990's the vision began to grow They trained thousands of young people in the arts throughout the following years, many of whom have gone on to work in the mainstream music industry, media, theatre world, clubland or the church. Nancy started her innovative and unique Spiritual Health Weekends for women in 1997 and still today they remain extremely popular with women coming back year after year. Nancy is a sought-after speaker and has written 22 books and 6 meditation CD's. Ray produced several creative musicals which toured the UK. Ray sadly died in 2016, but Nancy continues with this life changing work. NGM continues to exist to see lives transformed through conferences, events, and by resourcing churches through our personnel and also through the many resources we produce. NGM is based in Thornbury, Bristol at Caedmon Complex our specialist performing arts venue.
Purpose of the Role
To work under the supervision of the General Manager to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support in all areas of ngm's work. To be part of the team that provides administrative support for the Founder/CEO and to be part of the Spiritual Health Weekend Team. The role involves supporting specific projects as well as day-to-day administration and requires a broad range of office skills. There may also be some work outside normal office hours when assistance at NGM events may be needed. There may also be a possibility of extra hours (up to 21 hours per week) at peak times or to cover holidays.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Providing secretarial and administrative support for all areas of NGM's work as delegated. This covers a wide variety of projects as well as day to day administration.
* Providing secretarial and administrative support for the Founder/CEO when needed.
* Answering the door and the phone to incoming enquiries.
* Organising meetings, circulating agendas and producing minutes as required.
* Assisting the General Manager with implementing Health & Safety procedures across all areas of NGM and ensuring H&S information is kept up to date
* Typing general correspondence and filing.
* Assisting with the administration of the bookings for any Spiritual Health Events (with assistance from other Team members)
* Coordinating mail-outs as and when necessary
* Data entry and compiling mailing and contacts lists as delegated.
* Making travel arrangements for the Founder/CEO and General Manager as required
* Providing some basic Human Resources support including compiling and distributing application packs, making interview arrangements, sending recruitment correspondence and creating personnel folders for incoming staff.
* Assisting with scheduling the maintenance upkeep for the premises and dealing with emergency repairs as they arise.
* Assisting at NGM events when necessary.
* Assisting with administration for other areas of NGM when required
* Preparing merchandise for events
* Any other work delegated by the Founder/CEO and General Manager.

· This person fulfilling this role will be a key member of the staff team at NGM. As such this person will be expected to fully support the aims and vision of the charity when carrying out their duties.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 17.5 per week
