About the Role
Roku is seeking a talented Senior Product Designer with a strong Engineering background to craft exceptional user experiences across our streaming TVs and devices. The ideal candidate will help create top-tier designs for our 75 million users, leveraging their knowledge of front-end development to collaborate effectively with engineers.
This individual will create designs that increase business KPIs while upholding key principles such as simplicity, usability, and delight. A proven track record in delivering impactful experiences is essential.
We are looking for an independent thinker, capable of driving projects forward autonomously, actively seeking and incorporating stakeholder feedback and approvals. This role requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail, ensuring our products set the standard for excellence in the streaming industry.
What you’ll be doing
* Explore design directions, analyzing the pros and cons to arrive at creative, thoughtful solutions.
* Communicate user experience stages with wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, specs, and prototypes.
* Participate in regular design critiques with peers.
* Make user-centered design decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
* Document interaction models and detailed logic.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and build engaging experiences.
* Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, including discovery, research, ideation, and A/B testing.
* Work with User Researchers to gather insights and evaluate designs.
We’re excited if you have
• 6+ years of relevant experience as an interaction designer
• Proficiency in Figma
• Passion for end-to-end user experience
• Strong analytical skills for complex interactions
• Technical or analytical educational background
• Familiarity with streaming TV and UI design
• Experience collaborating across teams and documenting designs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, self-managed environment
