What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead and mentor a small team of QA engineers across data and BI testing projects.
* Define and deliver the overall BI QA strategy, embedding quality throughout ETL pipelines, data models, and reporting layers.
* Design and implement test frameworks covering data accuracy, governance, and performance.
* Drive the introduction of automation tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
* Validate BI solutions across Power BI, Qlik, and AWS data platforms (S3, Redshift, Athena, etc.).
* Oversee end-to-end testing for data platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.
* Work closely with developers, analysts, and business teams to align QA priorities with wider delivery goals.
* Track quality metrics and introduce continuous improvements to QA practices.
Main Skills Needed:
* Proven experience in BI and data platform testing, including ETL, data warehouse, and reporting validation.
* Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS data tools (Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lambda).
* Confident with Power BI, SQL, Python/PySpark, and QA automation tools.
* Solid grasp of data governance, GDPR, and data quality standards.
* Background in Agile delivery and experience leading or mentoring QA teams.
* Strong analytical mindset with clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant degree and/or certifications (e.g. AWS, ISTQB, Microsoft Data Analyst) preferred.
